Demonstrated Full Mouth Solutions

Dentures, offered here at our practice, have long been a reliable replacement for missing teeth. This economical option clings to your gums through suction or an adhesive cream. Upper dentures include a partial palate, which helps the denture stay in place but also may impact your taste sensation. Implant supported dentures, which we can also provide here, are kept secure in your mouth by two or more dental implants. They won’t embarrass you by slipping while you’re eating or speaking the way traditional dentures can, nor will they affect your enjoyment of food.

The top overall option for replacing one or both arches of your teeth is, without question, full mouth dental implants. Four or more dental implants form the foundation of a personalized and natural-looking bridge of teeth. These look, feel, and function just like natural teeth. If you have them you don’t have to limit your diet. Don’t have to worry about embarrassing accidents. Instead, you’ll experience enhanced confidence and a more satisfying life. Unlike real teeth, dental implants don’t decay, and the crowns retain the same healthy, beautiful color throughout their lifetime. Placing full mouth dental implants is a three-phase process. After it’s finished, you’ll feel as if you can start life anew!

Three Phases to Smile Perfection

Phase 1: Planning Your Full Mouth Dental Implants

If you want to find out if you qualify for full mouth dental implants—and most of our patients do—request your free, personalized consultation. We’ll learn your vision for your ideal smile, do a comprehensive dental health assessment, and take detailed 3D images of your mouth using our low-radiation cone beam CT (CBCT) scanner. Using all of this information, we’ll determine whether you’re already eligible for implants or need a few related preliminary treatments. If your jawbone has deteriorated, we can reconstruct it through bone grafting, which may include a sinus lift or ridge augmentation, to restore the bone volume necessary to support implants.

During a bone grafting procedure, we sometimes use a surgical stent to measure the height and width of your jawbone. Developed by Anatomage, this amazing tool can be adapted for use as a surgical guide during your dental implant placement. Guides empower us to carry out placement with exceptional precision. In addition to bone grafting, we can perform tooth extractions, should you have any unhealthy teeth still in your mouth. When we determine all the necessary components of your treatment, we’ll schedule the placement of your full mouth dental implants for the following visit!

Phase 2: A New Smile in One Day

When you come back for your implant procedure, your comfort is our highest priority. We offer several sedation options, including IV sedation, oral sedation, nitrous oxide (often called laughing gas), and local anesthesia to help keep you pain-free and fear-free during your treatment. Once you’re comfortably sedated, we’ll first perform other required treatments, if any, before beginning your actual implant placement procedure. We start by fitting your customized surgical guides over your gums.

Surgical guides have holes that indicate exactly where we should place your dental implants, and at what angle and depth, for a secure, comfortable fit. We put the screw-like dental implants—the minimum amount needed for a secure fit—through the holes and directly into your jawbone. This not only yields a more precise process but a faster one as well, because only the correct insertion areas are accessible when the guides are in place. We use quality implants from top manufacturers in the industry including Straumann.

As the last step for this appointment, we’ll place a temporary bridge of teeth on your implants, so you’ll have the appearance and function of a complete set of teeth while your surgical sites heal. You can regain your full smile and your full confidence with just one visit!

Phase 3: Reclaiming Your Life

Your implant insertion sites can take four or more months to heal. During that time your implants will fuse fully and permanently with your jawbone—a process called osseointegration. You can enjoy your favorite meals and normal social interactions during your recovery. Once you’ve completely healed, you’ll return to our office to have your final restorations put in. These will be tough, glossy, gorgeous teeth that can last up to a lifetime with proper care. That means many years of carefree smiles and laughter, comfortable conversations, and satisfying meals! Everything you’ve been missing.
