Dr. Johnathan Kim

Dr. Johnathan Kim was born and raised in Chino Hills, California and resided in Southern California his entire life. Becoming a dentist was originally not part of his life plan. He graduated from the USC Thornton School of Music with a focus on Classical Piano Performance. After music school, he taught in Beverly Hills as a piano instructor for several years before deciding to pursue a career in healthcare. His motivation was simple – Dr. Kim desired to help others in a more meaningful way. At first, he considered pursuing medicine. However, he wanted to find something that was more in line with the arts and being around people. That is how he fell in love of dentistry.

Dr. Kim attended Loma Linda School of Dentistry (LLUSD) and graduated the top of his class. He was asked to stay as an Associate Professor soon after receiving his degree. Dr. Kim believes that everyone deserves not only a beautiful smile, but one that is comfortable and something to be proud of.

Dr. Kim finds much joy in finding ways to make his work more successful, and strives to learn how to better serve his patients.

Dr. Kim and his wife Esther have been married for over a decade, and have 2 beautiful children. He has a variety of pastimes, such as reading, golfing, cooking, and playing piano. Dr. Kim used to do public performances; however, it is now a distant past!
